Cy Fair Athletic Director Ray Zepeda: “Gary Thiebaud has dedicated 25 years of his professional career serving the kids of CFISD. We are extremely thankful for his many years of dedicated service and for all that he has done for Cy Ridge and Langham Creek HS. He was the first athletic coordinator at Cy Ridge and worked very closely with founding principal Claudio Garcia and his team to establish many of the traditions that have become an integral part of the Cy Ridge community. His influence will have a lasting impact on Cy Ridge HS and CFISD. I know that principal Stephanie Meshell and the entire Cy Ridge community will miss Coach Thiebaud and his contribution to their learning community. We wish Coach Thiebaud and his wife Jan the best as they collectively begin a new phase in their lives.”

Cy Fair ISD Associate Athletic Director & Former Cy Falls Head Coach Kirk Eaton: “I have been in CFISD for over 20 years, and Coach Thiebaud has been a steadfast constant in CFISD Athletics that entire time. When I first got here I was quick to realize that he was a true ‘coach’s coach.’ You were always going to face a well prepared team that would play until the clock read 0:00 whether it was his Langham Creek defenses or his Cy Ridge Rams teams. He was a champion for kids and community, and always modeled what a coach should be doing. It was an honor to coach against him, and work alongside him. Coach Thiebaud is a credit to the coaching profession.”

Arizona State and former Cy Ridge RB Trelon Smith: “Coach T is like a second father to me. I wouldn’t take back playing for Coach T for the world. I’ve learned a lot from him, He’s a very wise guy and it’s truly a blessing to be able to say he’s my coach. He will always be my coach. Most people lust the game of football but Coach T and I, we love the game of football and to this day I’m happy that I was able to make history with my brothers next to me and with a head coach that taught me more than any one could imagine. Love you coach congratulations on an outstanding coaching career!”

Cy Ridge Offensive Coordinator Mike Zierlein: “Coach T gave me the opportunity to get back to my roots of coaching when my previous head coaching experience was over. He puts his trust in his coaches and allows them to do their job, which is an invaluable way to learn in this industry. He has a love for Cy Ridge High School that might be matched by other people in other places, but I guarantee you is not surpassed. He cares about the kids and community and gave all he could to make this a successful campus, and he accomplished that goal.”

Tulane and former Cy Ridge WR Kevin LeDee: “Coach T has his players best interest at heart, he wants the best for his players and he truly has made the biggest impact in my football career. Sophomore year, he moved me from quarterback to wide receiver and told me to trust him that it would work out for me, and it did. He always pushed his players to be the best, not only on the field but especially in life to be a better man. I will forever be grateful for having his presence in my life and having part in molding me to become a better person.”
